Recently we had the pleasure of going to see Legally Blonde The Musical playing at Neptune Theatre.

We love going to Neptune Theatre and after the stellar season they’ve had, I had high hopes for the musical adaptation of one of my favourite movies.

Neptune Theatre did Elf some serious justice, but I was still a bit nervous given my love for Legally Blonde the movie, and the fact that it wasn’t a musical. WELL. I’ve learned again to never doubt Neptune Theatre. Within seconds I was thrown into a place of extreme delight. Seriously. I was like a kid at Christmas hanging onto every last note. I smiled and laughed so much I’m pretty sure my face still hurts.

Lindsey Frazier starred as Elle Woods and was so full of spunk and life it was ridiculous. She was over the top in the best possible way and should Reese Witherspoon not be busy arguing with Atlanta Police and had the delight of seeing this play, I think she would agree that Lindsey was Elle Woods to a tee.

The Greek Chorus – which was essentially the imaginary travel version of Delta Nu, was nothing short of hysterical. The girls who made up the Greek Chorus had fantastic songs, hilarious lines and great comedic timing.

And for the songs. Well, they were nothing short of amazing…and awfully memorable to the point that I can’t stop singing them….

Oh my god, oh my god you guys*, did I mention there were dogs in the play? Real life dogs? In outfits?

Overall the audience seemed to have a total blast and even in moments that were so insanely ridiculous, people were lapping it up. A lady next to me who I learned at intermission had never even seen the movie was losing her mind laughing with her daughters. Even The Husband was laughing up a storm.

So once again – another amazing production at Neptune Theatre. You just can’t miss this one. Legally Blonde The Musical will be playing at Neptune Theatre until May 26th!

* Oh my god, oh my god you guys. This song is fabulous. Now this isn’t from Neptune Theatre but it is way too fun not to share.

They say everyone has a twin, and it turns out that not only celebrity animals have celebrity animal dopplegangers, but real human celebrities do too.

I was watching the Season 2 premiere of Mr. D. and I kept shouting out the various other people that the actors looked like when it dawned on me. Is it a prerequisite to have a fellow famous person as your doppleganger to be a male cast member on Mr. D? This is my theory, let’s see if it holds up.

Gerry Dee (Mr. Duncan) & Jon Dyer

While Jon Dyer may not be a TV star, he is a dead ringer for Gerry Dee. In the summer I was driving down Spring Garden Rd. when I thought I spotted my old friend Jon Dyer walking down the street. I wave, and I see that he is waving back… only when I get closer it turns out it’s Gerry Dee. Facepalm. To make things stranger, I turn the corner and who do I see? THE REAL JON DYER.

It’s important to note that Jon Dyer and Mr. D’s share the same favourite epic dance song, Walk Like an Egyptian. I don’t think I need to go on to confirm that Mr. Duncan & Jon Dyer are not only physical dopplegangers, but emotional ones too. A DNA test may need to be done.

Darrin Rose (Bill) & Jason Sudeikis

This one has been bothering me for quite some time. Luckily, since Jason Sudeikis has been all over Perez Hilton this holiday season, I was able to put my finger on this on Monday.

You cannot tell me that Darrin Rose & Jason Sudeikis are not IDENTICAL TWINS. And since there is no information on Darrin Rose’s birthday on the Internet I’m willing to bet that they share the same birthday, if they are in fact not actually the same person. Now the real question – WHICH ONE OF THEM IS IN THAT COFFEE COMMERCIAL?

Booth Savage (Principal Callaghan) & Patrick Duffy

If you’ve ever watched TGIF you know that Patrick Duffy played the Dad in Step By Step. It needs to be noted that my research partner initially felt that Erika Estrada was the obvious doppleganger. I will let you draw your own conclusions on that one.

Jonathan Torrens (Robert Cheeley) & Ellen Degeneres

At first Jonathan Torrens thought that only his daughter confused him for Ellen Degeneres, but as it turns out – so does everyone else. With heads of flowing blonde hair and Twitter accounts that never fail to provide laughs, it’s easy to confuse these two.

Wes Williams (Paul Dwyer) & Milt Stegall

While my knowledge of celebrities may appear limitless, sports celebrities are a particular area of weakness for me. Enter research assistant who instantly identified Xavier’s favourite teacher Mr. Dwyer as the doppleganger of Milt Steegal. Former CFL Line Receiver, and current TV football analyst. And while I am not familiar with Stegall’s work, I can confirm that he and Mr. Dwyer are in fact face twins.

Mark Little (Simon) & Kevin McHale

Mark & Kevin have more in common than just their looks. They also spend much of their time on camera in high schools. And given that Mark is a member of the comedy troop Picnicface, I can only assume that he would challenge McHale (Artie from Glee) in a dance off any day of the week.

Mark Forward (Mr. Leung) & Dion Phaneuf

This was a tricky one, which Mark should use to his advantage. He’s a bit of a chameleon. We searched through images of various celebrities that we felt could be his doppleganger. My research assistant strongly believes that Mark’s #1 doppleganger is Brett Favre circa 1990, however, you try searching for images of Brett Favre on Google without throwing up in your mouth a little. As a result we went for the obvious second choice, Dion Phaneuf.

Suresh John (Malik) & Maharishi Mahesh

This was another easy one for my research assistant to identify. Being an avid Beatles fan, he quickly figured out that Suresh John looks just like the Beatles famous Yogi Maharishi Mahesh who was the inspiration behind the epic album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Certainly not a bad guy to be mistaken for.

Brian Bannan (Jeff Lemire) & Chris Carmack

Although it appears as though Brian Bannan hails from Canada, he might as well be an Orange County import. If he were to have punched Ryan in the face in the first season of The OC we would have been none the wiser.

Given the remarkable resembles of these lads, I’m going to go ahead and say that my theory is correct. All male cast members of Mr. D. do in fact have fellow actor dopplegangers.

It is December which means we can finally spread Christmas cheer by singing loudly for all to hear!

But while we are spreading Christmas cheer we often tend to be eating lots of treats that are often filled with copious amounts of dairy.

For kids like myself who can no longer enjoy the fruits of cows’s milk this can be a really frustrating time of year. You can remember the delicious taste of eggnog, the melt in your mouth deliciousness of your Mother-In-Law’s shortbread cookie recipe, and yet you can partake in none of it!

Thankfully there are more options than ever to get snacking this holiday season, and a lot of them taste AS GOOD as the real thing.

I just wanted to share some of my favourite alternatives for holidays treats that us dairy-free folks can enjoy:

- Starbucks Soy Peppermint Mocha: I had no idea but there is no dairy in the chocolate syrup used to make a Soy Peppermint Mocha. So go ahead – enjoy one of these holiday favourites without fear!

- Cheese Platters: I love cheese. Always have, always will. Delicious goat cheese options make a great a good alternative to traditional cheese plats. Goats cheese cranberry logs, goats brie, goats mozza can all be put together on a plate for a delicious appy for holiday guests.

- Shortbread Cookies: This is my ultimate holiday weakness. Take your favourite shortbread recipe and replace the regular butter with goats milk butter or lactose free margarine. Last year I tried the lactose free margarine version and they didn’t quite cut it. This year I made the goats milk version and certain members of my household couldn’t even tell the difference from mine to their Mom’s own!

- Hot Chocolate: Thankfully marshmallows are dairy free. But what good is a marshmallow without a hot cup of cocoa to accompany it? Delicious and not so bad for you version. 1 cup of coconut milk mixed with 1 tsp of cocoa. The coconut milk is sweet enough that you don’t even need to add any sugar. Whisk together, throw in a marshmallow and enjoy!

And last but not least. Egg Nog. There are some dairy free alternatives that you can enjoy if you have a hankering for egg nog. The two I’ve found locally are Noel Nog (Almond Milk Based) and Soy Nog. Both of which taste pretty darn good although not QUITE authentic. Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the top and you will find your treat tasting a bit closer to the original.

So there you have it. My ideas for a dairy free holiday season!! If you have any other ideas let’s hear them!

In my humble opinion Facebook has ruined High School Reunions. Gone are the days when you would count down the months until the time when you could get dolled up and wow everyone with how amazing your life has turned out. Or go Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion style and lie and say you invented Post-It’s. Either way the fact checking was hard to do because Facebook wasn’t chronicling your every move.

So as I approach my 10 year High School Reunion, Bingo! brought me back to a time when High School Reunions really could be a time to well, reunite.

Bingo! Chronicles the night of a 30 year high school reunion of a group of friends from Cape Breton. Many bevy’s are had and stories told, love is found, love is lost, and most importantly the audience gets to laugh their faces off.

Marty Burt who played high school stud “Dookie” was the kind of guy you loved to hate. In fact we aren’t entirely sure we like him at all after watching that convincing performance. Marty Burt was fantastic in Mrs. Parliament’s Night Out and didn’t disappoint in Bingo!.

Ryan Rogerson, Emmy Alcorn and John Beale were all charasmatic and entertaining but Heather Rankin absolutely steals the show as Bitsy. Aside from being jealous about how jacked her arms looked the whole time, she was able to tug on your heartstrings and make you laugh hysterically as Bitsy tries to figure herself out all this time after high school.

This hilarious and heartwarming journey of a few friends reuniting was certainly not tainted by modern technologies like Facebook, which I’m sure Dookie is pretty, pretty thankful for.

Check out Bingo! at Neptune Theatre from October 16th – November 4th, 2012!

This past week we were invited to attend Atlantic Fashion Week. We were very excited to join the Halifax fashion community and watch local designers, both up-and-coming and well-established, show their latest collections.

We saw some great things (and some crazy things) over the two evenings of showcases and we have lots to write about, but instead of reviewing each collection and designer, we thought we’d give you our top 10 moments.

In general, I think we’re in agreement that the Emerging Designers Showcase knocked it out of the park. Everyone was great, but we had some favorites:

- The Collection Project by the First Year students at the Centre for Arts and Technology was very, very good. It was well put together and looked like stuff that you might conceivably wear out of your house in Halifax without eliciting too many WTFs.

Once you get past the fuzziness of the photo itself, the look is actually pretty cute.

- BEC fashions brought out the cute summery looks with a little bit of edge to them. I could not believe this girl is still a student. The lines on the clothes were fantastic and obviously took some mad skill to produce.

- Eman Mustafa – This girl seems really cool, and some of the pieces she showed were just fabulous. With a consistent pleated theme, the clothes were unique, colorful, fun, and young – all those good things that fashion should be.

One of our favorite looks from Eman Mustafa, as modelled by one of our favorite models who we nick-named Swifty due to her resemblance to Taylor Swift.

- Getting to see some fabulous local fashion bloggers – Fashion bloggers are arguably the trendiest people on the planet, and we were definitely seated amongst some Halifax fashion royalty with L-A from FPQT, Mo Handahu from Clutch Culture and Curvy Geekery, Short Presents, Love, Lust & What I Wore, and some of the team from Fashion East Halifax all in the mix (just to mention a few).

I headed to the Emerging Designers Showcase straight from a work conference. I was suited up in my “desk-job” attire and didn’t have time to change. Needless to say, I felt sufficiently out-glammed by every other attendee, including the bar-tending staff.

- Smashing preconceived notions – I guess I hadn’t really put much thought into what the designer behind the Overman line of body jewellery would look like, but when PEI-based Matt Bowness poked his head out from behind the curtain after his wares went down the runway, I will admit I was surprised – and very impressed with all the intricate and interesting pieces in his collection.

One of the many cool looks from Overman

For the Designer Showcase, these were the high-notes for us:

- The collection by Dreamboat Lucy was pretty, pretty good. Ok fine – it was awesome. Dreamboat Lucy won the Mercedes-Benz Atlantic Startup and there is no question why. So many of the looks were totally wearable (minus the brown bodysuit – but hey if you can pull that off picking up your groceries, then be our guest!!) and the designers are an adorable sister duo. Seriously kick-ass stuff.

- Seeing Veronica MacIsaac’s Vogue Italia-featured gown in real life. Gorgeous.

- Sebastian Bladgon’s absolute mind-f#%k of a collection. It really was wearable art. These are not the garments you’re wearing to pick up your child from soccer practice (if you did – you’d scare the ever-loving crap of every child in a 10-mile radius), but it’s certainly awe-inspiring work and very impressive that Sebastian can envision and execute such a gloriously bizarre show, and also model his own work.

Dark whimsy at its finest

- The Models. While I hate to say we are still living in an age where seeing every bone in a model’s body is still somehow considered attractive, there was a great mix of girls who actually looked like they might indulge in a cheeseburger from time to time. And guess what – the clothes still looked super hot on them too! We love food. We love models who love food.

- Lastly, Atlantic Canada had some sneaky fashion skills tucked up their puffy sleeves! It used to be that us poor East Coasters got the tail end of trends that would spill out of Toronto and Montreal, but not any more. The amount of talent shown at these two events was beyond impressive and based on the attention these designers are getting world-wide, it’s obvious that there is some trend setting going on!

Huge thanks to the organizers of Atlantic Fashion Week for inviting us to take in this great event!

Basically all of our images from the Designer show-case night turned out blurry (this is what happens when your only camera is actually a phone), but check out Denis Duquette’s album for some great photos of the night.

If you’re reading this post, I’m assuming you have access to the internet, which means I can also safely assume that by now you’ve watched (or at least heard of) Kony 2012 – the virulent online video from an organization called Invisible Children. As quickly as the video spread, so too spread an outcry of people entreating their friends/social media associates to do their research before they jumped on the bandwagon.

Well aware of the vast amount of untruth that exists on the internet, the first thing I did when I saw the Kony 2012 video was google Joseph Kony. Yup, I will admit it. In spite of my education and so-called social awareness, I had never heard of Joseph Kony before. As I’m inherently programmed to be skeptical of everything I read online, I even considered that maybe this was an elaborate theatrical trailer for an upcoming blockbuster. But Google rarely fails me, and in this case it returned the fact that Joseph Kony is indeed a real person, and he is indeed a bad man who has been responsible for many unspeakable crimes. So I did it. I became one of those people. I shared the link.

I subsequently visited the website for Visible Children (created by Acadia student Grant Oyston – who incidentally is now receiving several hundred emails per hour) which contains some information on The Invisible Children charity. Most damningly, it notes that last year the organization spent more than $8.5 million and only 32% of that went to direct services, with most going to staff salaries, travel, film production, etc. It also states that Invisible Children is in favor of direct military intervention and that they are supporters of the Sudan and Ugandan armies, which have both had multiple accusations of rape and looting. A quick turn around various foreign policy websites also reveals that Joseph Kony is probably not in Uganda anymore and hasn’t been for quite some time. The thought crossed my mind that I had posted too soon with too little background information, and I ruminated on possibly deleting the post. But then I thought, in spite of the imperfections of the genesis of the message, what would be the reason to NOT share the video? Why would I NOT want someone to see this? Who loses if more people see this video?

Over the past day, some doubts have definitely been raised about Invisible Children and their mission and fund distribution practices. I think that the creation of that video was probably quite expensive and I’d be interested to see its actual price-tag. I’ll also concede that the creators were a bit too preachy for my own liking, and the incorporation of little Gavin was certainly on the gimmicky side. But still, I’m left with the thought that yesterday morning there were not that many people who knew the name Joseph Kony. I could (and still can) name all the Kardashians, the entire cast of Harry Potter, and all of the Spice Girls, but I had never heard of Joseph Kony before, and I’ll admit that’s kind of embarrassing. Now, according to YouTube, the views are over 20 million. So that’s 20 million more people who now know something about an issue that they may have been oblivious to yesterday.

They said at the start of the video, the aim was to raise awareness and test the effectiveness of social media, and on that front they’re pretty much kicking ass. I think we can all agree that the world would be a better place without warlords and child soldiers and any form of slavery, and if people have ideas about how to stop these things it’s at least worth hearing the ideas. I’m not saying the Invisible Children charity is perfect, and I’m not saying you should or shouldn’t donate to this cause. But I do think that you should take the video for what it is (a masterful piece of viral marketing, if nothing else), learn both sides of the story, and think about the awareness it raised. Maybe that will motivate you to donate to Invisible Children or to another charity, or maybe you’ll delete the link and express your outrage that everyone is jumping on the charity-du-jour bandwagon, or maybe do some more research on how to help child soldiers, or contemplate how ethical it is for the director of any charity to take home a hefty salary. But regardless of your stance on the video, it did at least one thing – it raised awareness about an issue and an area of the world that gets too little attention. And that’s enough for me to keep the link up.

Two years ago I spotted Jonathan Torrens at my favourite spot in Halifax. He was with a group of friends, sharing some apps and having a grand time. When the time came to leave, there was a bunch of food left on the table, and the people sitting next to them took note.

Next thing you know JRoc is gone and the table vultures swooped in. What happened next was a full on stranger eating other strangers leftovers. IN PUBLIC. This story was so horrifying that I kept it with me knowing that one day I would have the chance to share it with him. Because seriously, wouldn’t you want to know that something that effed up happened to YOU!?

Lucky for all of us, Jonathan rejoined Twitter and allowed me to share with him that night that is forever engrained in my mind.

While many of us feel like we know Jonathan Torrens after watching him for years on TV, there is a lot about Jonathan that you don’t know. So we took it upon ourselves to get to the scoop on the man who has been able to transform himself from a loveable teenage talkshow host on Jonovision, to a white rapper on The Trailer Park Boys and then back to a tightly wound egocentric Vice-Principal on Mr.D.

So without further delay we give you our interview with the hilarious, and unknowing food-sharer, Jonathan Torrens.

Q: You have really grown up in front of the camera, with a lot of your early days being spent with CBC. How does it feel after all these years to come back with such a hilarious new show?

A: Jonathan is celebrating his 25th anniversary of his TV career. Much like the saying “always a bridesmaid never a bride” Jonathan considers himself to be “always a garnish and never the main course”. In laymen’s terms, his role in ensemble casts, and as a talk show host never type cast him into a role that he could never shake down the road.

Q: As such a well known Canadian personality, do you get recognized / your food scraps stolen on the regular?

A: Once a lady mistook Jonathan for Anthony Cotton from Coronation Street. His daughter often confuses him for Ellen Degeneres. He also highly doubts that people eat his leftover food because they know it’s his. But we think he’s just being modest.

Q: Of all the characters you’ve played, who are you most like and who was been the most fun to play?

A: Despite being offered opportunities to take his rap career to the next level, Jonathan considers himself most like Mr. D’s Vice Principal Robert Cheeley who is not super cool but really wishes he was.

And not surprisingly his most fun character to play was JRoc on The Trailer Park Boys. He described JRoc as playing a cartoon character. But this fun role also had it’s challenges. How do you portray a wannabe white rapper that lives in a trailer park without offending anyone? Turns out he had nothing to worry about. Some applauded him for making fun of the try-hards, while those aspiring for greatness appreciated how he represented them. Well played JRoc. Well played.

Q: Did you write your own raps as JRoc?

A: Jonathan wrote every rap with the exception of one song which was written by Mike Clattenburg. And yes, his raps were SO good that he has been asked to perform them in front of live audiences.

Q: As the host of Wipeout Canada – tell us, is the course REALLY that hard?

A: The thing about Wipeout is that no one can watch the others compete. So if you were racing after Joan they’d say whoa Emily, Joan just FLEW through the course. You’ve got a lot of ground to make up so you better giv’r! And of course Emily flies through the course like a bat out of hell and ends up in the water. If you watch closely, those who are more panther-like will always win. Well them, and the athletes.

Q: Are you The Bachelor Canada?

A: Unless he’s allowed bringing his wife and two kids than no, he is not.

Now it must be noted that this simple question sparked a FLURRY of conversation. Not only is Jonathan Torrens a DIE HARD Bachelor(ette) fan, he’s also been on Spike TV’s The Joe Schmo Show as a faux reality contestant. So as far as we’re concerned, Jonathan Torrens is a certified expert on reality tv.

Because we too love The Bachelor, our interview was seriously derailed as a result of this finding. So instead we will give to you a collection of random thoughts that came of this chat.

Sean Avery will not be The Bachelor Canada. He’s a polarizing figure which might not bode so well on The Bachelor.

There is a very large chance that they will pick a hockey player and take the “he’s got everything but the girl” angle.

Maybe it won’t be a hockey player at all because they’re far too polite and don’t make for great television.

Football players make much better TV as they have stronger personalities. ** Another reason why perhaps Jesse Palmer is The Bachelor Canada?

Brad’s season had much higher ratings than Ben’s. Brad also has better abs than Ben. We’re not rocket scientists but the correlation between great abs and high ratings is undeniable.

Courtney is either truly a monster or a victim of some seriously bad editing.

The term “Dippers Remorse” is what you get when you skinny dip with someone on The Bachelor when you shouldn’t have.

On a subject in no way related to The Bachelor, Jonathan is Team LC all the way (although he used to be team Heidi).

So there you have it. The onion that is Jonathan Torrens.

A huge thank you to Jonathan for taking the time to chat with us! Be sure to follow him on Twitter @theteevee and check him out on CBC’s Mr. D. Monday’s at 8pm!

We had the pleasure of checking out Norm Fosters latest production “Mrs. Parliament’s Night Out” at Neptune Theatre. Not knowing too much about the play we went with no expectations what so ever, but figured at the very least that Sheila McCarthy (from Little Mosque on the Prairie) would be somewhat entertaining.

In case you, like us knew nothing of the play before reading this – here is the synopsis:

When Teresa’s husband forgets their 32nd wedding anniversary she realizes it’s time to stop waiting for her husband’s attention and put herself first.

Will her husband notice the new Teresa? Will he care? This new comedy from Norm Foster asks what it takes to keep a marriage fresh – and questions if it’s even possible. Starring TV’s Sheila McCarthy.

The first thing we noticed was the set. It was modern and retro at the same time and was made up of several moving screens and white frames that were lit up with all different colours. Each scene was set by rolling one focal piece of the scene (grocery store checkout, watch case, restaurant tables) and you were left to fill in the blanks about everything else.

The cast was fantastic. Each person in the play with the exception of Mrs. Parliament took on a variety of characters which were so well played that you forgot you were watching the same people over and over again. Their comedy was natural and the roles fit each one to a tee.

My personal favourite was her grumpy old neighbour who spoke exactly like my favourite Great Uncle Teddy. Sarcastic and sour but at the same time ridiculously endearing.

Sheila McCarthy was the true show stealer. Her innocence as a housewife in a small town was so charming, but her quest to find true happiness was even more so. This naivety paired with the eccentric characters she encounters on her journey have you buckled over with laughter more often than not.

So if you’re looking for a good laugh, and some great live theatre we highly recommend checking this one out!

Mrs. Parliament’s Night Out runs at Neptune Theatre until February 19th, 2012.

Since our initial post regarding Celebrity Doppelgangers, many readers have let us know who else they feel looks oddly alike in Hollywood. Most impressive was a friend’s insight into the world of celebrity animals. I’m not talking Paris Hilton’s dog looks like Kiki Palmer’s dog – I’m talking dogs who are famous who look like other dogs who are famous.

Let’s start in Golden Retriever Land. The dog who played “Comet” in Full House went by the name of “Buddy the Dog” – clever, I know. After wrapping up his final season on Full House he went on to play Air Bud in the first two Air Bud movies. Sadly, Buddy the Dog passed away shortly after the second film – which left producers no choice but to replace him with none other than his celebrity doppelganger, strangely named Air Bud.

This child and dog combo has earned an insanely large chunk of change over the years.

Air Bud plays rugby. That's a fact.

Next we will move into the world of little dogs. In 1995 the world welcomed the kids’ TV series “Wishbone” into their homes. Wishbone’s IMDB description is far better than anything I could write or think of so I have chosen to borrow it instead.

Soccer (May 17, 1988 - June 26, 2001) was a Jack Russell terrier dog actor. A veteran of many television commercials for companies like Nike Athletics and Mighty Dog Dog Food, he became famous portraying the talking dog Wishbone in the PBS TV series of the same name. Chosen from out of more than 100 dogs who auditioned for the role, Soccer appeared in almost every episode of the show during its 1995-1998 run. He lived with his trainer, Jackie Kaptan, on the Plano, Texas ranch where the Wishbone series was filmed.

Whoa whoa. WHAT?! Over 100 other dogs AUDITIONED for the role of Wishbone and this little guy was the most impressive? How could you even decide?! If I were in grade 9 and I could job shadow anyone for bring your daughter to work day, I would track down the casting director for animal-based TV shows and movies and demand that they let me watch them shatter the dreams of puppies everywhere just so they can make a buck. I’m sure I would just cry all day but I’d like to see what kind of person has that job. I’m guessing a mean one that hates puppies.

I digress. Wishbones casting director obviously knew that “Soccer” the Jack Russell would be a hit, and sure enough another little Jack Russell popped onto the silver screen in 1996. The TV show Frasier introduced canine friend “Eddie” in the shows 3rd season. Eddie is actually “Enzo” the dog whose father “Moose” was also in the biz.

Stealing milk bones from the rich and giving to the poor.

Enzo, you adorable little cash cow you.

Enzo’s IMDB profile trumps Soccer’s hugely and poor little Soccer never made it onto the big screen. Was it stage fright? Or was it that no one could tell the difference between the two? We will never know.

New Year’s resolutions are a nice idea… eat better, work out more, stick to a budget, save the world… all good things to do. I haven’t really settled on a real life resolution yet, so in the meantime I’m making some Twitter-related resolutions. So here are the improvements I’m working on in 2012.

5. Find out what a “MT” is. It took me a while to figure out RT. This will take some investigative work.

4. Report spammers. Often. When your picture is of a celebrity and your Twitter name ends in a series of numbers, I’m on to you!

Oh really IsaacBritsch454? You may look like Dr. House, but I never tweeted such a thing. Leave my name out of your faux retweets!

3. More pictures. People like pictures. What kind of pictures will I post? I can’t say for sure yet. I don’t have a pet or a baby or anything cool like that, so I’ll work on finding some great subject matter. Suggestions welcome.

I'm not very influential about the New York Jets. But influential, nontheless.

2. Not feel so distressed when my Klout has dropped dramatically. On one hand, Klout is kind of fun. Yet somehow I find my mood can be altered by a massive drop in my Klout score. Why oh why does this arbitrary online rating get under my skin so? I have no idea – especially given the fact that it appears to be completely baseless. Klout, how did you deduce that I am an expert on the New York Jets? I cannot currently, nor could I ever, name a singular player on that team. Where are you getting your information?! So I’m done with you. (I mean, I’ll still sign in… sporadically… and feel good when my score goes up.) But I’m done worrying about it.

Kelly Oxford is a great tweeter. I anticipate that with my new and improved tweets, I'll soon have 275,000+ followers too.

1. Try to tweet mainly funny/interesting/useful things. I know that what’s funny to me may not be funny to you. I also know that boring, banal tweets sometimes just make their way into the daily rotation. But given that I greatly appreciate a hilarious tweet or a link to something cool, I will try to be a model tweeter (not to be confused with a model who tweets – that’s a resolution for 2013).
